Join Port Elizabeth and MyPE in congratulating Mover and Shaker, Tshiwela Mhlantla from Absa:
Absa has announced the appointment of Tshiwela Mhlantla as the Regional Executive for its Retail Sales and Service operations across the Eastern and Southern Cape.
Mhlantla is no stranger to the Eastern Cape as she lived and worked in Port Elizabeth. She has vast experience having held various roles in Absa including three years as the Executive Assistant to Louis von Zeuner, the then Group Executive Director of Absa Personal Bank at Absa’s head office in Johannesburg. This position exposed her to the strategic operations of the business, an opportunity she values and attributes her appointment as Managing Executive of Personal Loans in April 2010
Commenting on the appointment, Arrie Rautenbach, Absa’s Head of Retail Markets is very pleased to see Mhlantla return to the Eastern Cape, adding that “Mhlantla is well known and well respected in the market. We are confident that her experience and unparalleled track record will benefit the Bank in further developing its market position as a leading South African Bank”.
Mhlantla has a B. Juries and LLB from the University of Durban-Westville and has completed a Strategic Management in Banking Programme from Ensead Business School as well as various Absa leadership, financial and strategic management courses.
