An employee of Ibhayi Contracting in Warbler Street, Cotswold, had a narrow escape today when a vehicle they bought on auction, lost control.
According to the driver, who doesn’t want to be named, he had just collected the truck from an auction premises in Old Grahamstown Road at around 12h00.
When passing over the Baxter Bridge, the driver decided to brake earlier before descending to the robot, only for the cab to tilt forward, and the driver to end up looking at the ground with the steering disconnected, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
Slight damages, but nobody was injured
