Top 40 Under 40 – Round 2

The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber will on Monday release its second annual Top 40 Under 40 list of young business achievers. The list is showcase of the wealth of young business talent available in Nelson Mandela Bay, with achievers representing business big and small.

The Business Chamber received over eighty nominations to this year’s list from its members. A high-calibre panel of judges had the difficult task of whittling the nominees down to forty dynamic and passionate young business leaders. “They are the new face of business in Nelson Mandela Bay,” says Top 40 Under 40 convener, Nicole Klokow. The judging panel – which included BWA Chair Michelle Brown, local businesswomen Jane Stevenson, Carol Hall and Lize Hayward, as well as Director of the NMMU Alumni Association Paul Geswindt and Standard Bank’s Mzi Baleni – was highly impressed by the standard of the entries to this year’s list. “We have young entrepreneurs, company directors, managers and talented employees who demonstrate the potential to achieve great things for themselves, their companies and Nelson Mandela Bay.”

The Top 40 Under 40 for 2012 will be revealed at an exclusive function at The Plantation on Monday evening, 3 December 2012.

Through the newly-formed Top 40 Network, both groups of young achievers will take on the role of the young voice of business and work with the Business Chamber to tackle the challenges facing business in Nelson Mandela Bay. The Top 40 Network also gives them access to exclusive networking opportunities, and provides them with the chance to contribute to the wellbeing of their local community through co-ordinated community projects in 2013.
