The PR Junction

24 July 2020 By Port Elizabethan

On the occasion of the Eastern Cape’s first ever Virtual Exhibition presented by Inkanyezi we asked exhibitors their opinions on the event and on business in general with specific reference to the Lockdown.

Wendy Knott-Craig from The PR Junction exhibiting in Hall 1 Stand 74 shared these thoughts with MyPE:

What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? It’s been a fantastic platform to promote your business during this pandemic. Exhibitions will not be allowed for quite some time to come, so this is one way to do it.

What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? Too soon to tell

Other than your own stand, which exhibitor here is a ‘MUST VISIT’? A few of them. I enjoyed the live videos at the various points – entertainment, coffee, cooking etc.

Your message to the organisers, Inkanyezi? Well done on this concept. I would suggest that perhaps you leave it open for a few days / next month for a while, to allow more people to visit the stands. Now that the event has taken place, people will hear about it and might want to visit / exhibit, so it could be an idea to do it again in the future. Perhaps not make it too interactive, i.e. the chat rooms, but allow visitors to the stands to just send an email to the company they are visiting. It has worked really well and I’ve made a few contacts. Thanks

Please share successful actions you have taken for your business during Lockdown? Become more IT literate in order to attend meetings virtually, market my business and network online.

Any suggestions on how to survive and thrive during and post Lockdown? Keep a sense of humour 🙂
