The Peoples Choice Awards

An exhibition of ceramics at artEc Gallery (EPSAC) from across our region will showcase the work of members of Ceramics Southern Africa-Eastern Cape.

Student work from the Ceramic department of NMMU will be displayed alongside the work of established ceramists such as Charmaine Haines and Donve Branch as wells as emerging potters, highlighting the diversity of clay.

The exhibition opens on Tuesday 17th May at 6pm and runs until the 27th May 2011.

A professional jury of Art Lecturer, Interior Decorator and Ceramist have selected the best works to offer you a high quality exhibition of the Eastern Cape Ceramic.

Lynnley Watson will be the guest exhibitor and as well as her latest work, a retrospective of her career in clay will be on view.

Three awards have been allocated this year;  Award for excellence, Runner-up Award and a Best Student award but there is another award this year which needs your contribution, “the People’s Choice Award”.

On the opening night you will be invited to vote for your favourite piece on show.
