This morning at the corner of Mill Park and Cape Road was an explosion of joy for me – made so entirely by one young man radiating joy and contentment.
The reason why?
He had just dropped off his 6-month old firstborn at daycare and was enthusing about what a joy it was to be a parent. His simple joy touched me in ways that we should all be touched and made me once again realise that we are all in need of the opportunity to demonstrate simple love and kindness.
How did I know he was ready to chat?
He pulled up his mask, wound down his window and I could see the smile and love in his eyes.
Boet, if you ever read this – thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me realise that life is MOST certainly worth living.
