The EP Cricket Revival

Eastern Province Cricket NPC and St George’s Park is in the process of re-establishing its rightful place as the historic sport entertainment venue in Nelson Mandela Bay.  The vibe and atmosphere in the stadium is unique, and as the oldest Test venue in the country St George’s Park is without a doubt a sought after experience for many international visitors.  Local cricket fans are our biggest supporters and without support from the greater Nelson Mandela Bay community, St George’s would not be able to keep it’s ranking in the top 5 cricket stadiums in South Africa.

A three year Future Tours Programme has been released and St George’s has provisionally been allocated a number of internationals. The 2016-2017 season will see two One-Day Internationals – South Africa vs Sri Lanka and Australia as well as a Test Match against Sri Lanka heading to our shores.  In the 2017-2018 season a further two One-Day Internationals South Africa vs India and Sri Lanka have been allocated to St George’s.  Australia is also set to play a Test Match against South Africa that season.

The above allocation would make it an ideal opportunity for corporates to purchase a suite on a 3 year deal and be part of the cricket revival in our City.

There are many other opportunities for business to support this revival drive and be part of making this stadium the first choice for any international match. “We want to show the rest of the country and the international cricket community why we should be the number one choice for any incoming tour.”

Various sponsorship and advertising opportunities exist at various levels which would generate great exposure for any brand looking to put their stamp on the local market.

Ticket sales for the season have opened and season tickets are currently on sale.  For as little as R330 for a season ticket you get to see all the action including the SA vs England One Day International on 6 February 2016.
