A charity drive by Port Elizabeth's Jaco Rademeyer Estates (JRE) has seen several local charities receive a much-needed cash injection in a donation aimed primarily at the upliftment of women and children in the community. According to the World Health Organisation, 60 000 women and children in South Africa are victims of domestic violence every month. The country has the highest incidence of domestic violence in the world - and those are just the cases that are reported.
