This has resulted in a complete loss of water supply from the Loerie system as well as an inability to transfer water from other systems due to large pump stations … [Read more...] about Water levels in Western Areas Reach Critical Levels

Water to be cutoff again in Walmer, South End, Humerail, Humewood and Summmerstrand

10 April 2017 By NMB Communications

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality

The municipality was, unfortunately unable to complete the repair on the water pipe on Wednesday, 5th April 2017. This was due to the worse condition that the pipe was in than initially thought, with holes underneath and near to the bedrock which is difficult to weld. It is also difficult to prepare for the repair as we can't see the pipe without having the water off as the trench fills up with water too fast to enable us to see anything. We are, however, busy manufacturing a large special … [Read more...] about Water to be cutoff again in Walmer, South End, Humerail, Humewood and Summmerstrand
