In the early hours of this morning a home attached to a Walmer creche that receives assistance from the Walmer Angels burned completely to the ground. Fortunately no lives were lost. The fire started in the kitchen and spread through the entire house destroying it and the contents. Women and children benefit from donations in celebration of Women’s Month
A charity drive by Port Elizabeth's Jaco Rademeyer Estates (JRE) has seen several local charities receive a much-needed cash injection in a donation aimed primarily at the upliftment of women and children in the community. Building a new generation of readers through book donations
The Nelson Mandela Bay Libraries, in partnership with the Walmer Angels Project, has embarked on an ambitious project to build a new generation of readers, starting with a pilot project that started at the end of March in Gqebera (Walmer Township) in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
