Eskom has confirmed that a price increase will be implemented on 1 April 2015. Petrol price to increase by 36c
Motorists, who are already struggling with the high cost of fuel, will have to fork out an additional 36 cents a litre for fuel, as from next Wednesday. The Department of Energy announced on Friday the retail price of Petrol 93 ULP and LRP and Petrol 95 ULP and LRP will increase by 36 cents a litre. Eskom asks for 16% tariff increase
Power parastatal Eskom has asked the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) for a total 16% tariff increase over the next five years. The utility is asking the regulator for 13% for each of the five years for its own needs, plus 3% to support the introduction of Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
