This afternoon we were treated to a guided tour of the MSC Opera, docked in Port Elizabeth for the day whilst she voyages from Cape Town to Durban. This floating 'townhouse complex' accommodates 2 199 passengers in 856 cabins and is 251.25 metres long - a whole lot longer than the boat the Longhair and I  sailed to Rio de Janeiro on in the 2000 Cape to Rio yacht race.
