MyPE has been running a survey - Manganese Ore – Just say “NO!” - since July 2016, asking residents affected by the Ore Dust menace to quantify their losses due to this unsightly dump on the Port Elizabeth beachfront. A little known innovation in the loading of Manganese Ore in the Port of Port Elizabeth is the skiptainer process where manganese ore is brought into the Port in containers and then loaded into ships.
