Continental Tyre South Africa (CTSA) concluded its first event as the joint title sponsor of The Herald Continental Cycle Tour with record levels of participation across all races. For new road race director Julie Briggs the wheel has turned full circle as she assumes responsibility for The Herald VW Cycle Tour, which her father helped start in Port Elizabeth almost three decades ago. Uitenhage-based Volkswagen Group South Africa announced its backing of the Eastern Cape's premier cycling event for the 10th year running yesterday.
