A celebration of years of hard work played itself out at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s (NMMU) Indoor Sports Centre today as hundreds of students crossed the stage at the first graduation session for the Port Elizabeth campuses. Close to 5 000 students across six faculties and in as many as 335 different qualifications will graduate from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) in 15 ceremonies hosted in George and Nelson Mandela Bay from Thursday 7 April. NMMU to celebrate achievements at annual graduation

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University will award more than 6 300 certificates, diplomas and degrees at 13 graduation ceremonies in Port Elizabeth and George from 10 to 20 April 2015, an increase of close to 14% since its first graduation a decade ago. This brings the total number of qualifications awarded since the establishment of NMMU in 2005 close to 50 000.
