We saw a VERY RARE thing in Algoa Bay

Orca Killer Whales Port Elizabeth_4

When you least expect it Algoa Bay dishes up a gem of a sighting - three Orcas (Killer Whales) came cruising down the current line toward St Croix Island as we were heading out to sea. We turned and cruised alongside them for 90 minutes as Daddy, Mommy and Baby swam leisurely along. A really special sighting and a rare occurrence to actually be successful at hunting the hunter. We were guests of www.abmarine.co.za #orca #abmarine #whales #algoabay #sharethebay #portelizabeth #alanstraton - Taken … [Read more...] about We saw a VERY RARE thing in Algoa Bay

No Person shall deliberately drive through a school of dolphins – PE Boats Fail

31 October 2017 By Port Elizabethan

Commons Dolphin

Dear MyPE I would like to forward the following observation. I am a resident of Humewood in Port Elizabeth and stay on the 6th floor of a beach front building. This morning (27th October 2017) I observed the following incident: There was a flotilla of fishing boats gathering of the pier at Hoby beach (Board walk) presumably a competition start. I observed, with binoculars, a very large school of dolphins making their way towards the harbour. They were in a long formation of maybe … [Read more...] about No Person shall deliberately drive through a school of dolphins – PE Boats Fail
