Injured British yachtswoman, Michelle Porter, was evacuated by the Port Elizabeth NSRI on 8 November 2013, during the Cape Town Australia leg of the Clipper round-the-world race after the boat she was crewing on, Derry ~ Londonderry ~ Doire, was struck by 'monumental' wave. On 7 November 2013 a large breaking wave careered into the side of Clipper Yact, Derry~Londonderry~Doire, en-route to Australia. Derry~Londonderry~Doire is taking part in Leg 3, Race 4 of the Clipper around the world yacht race.
