The Ratepayers Association in Port Elizabeth has started a boycott against paying their property taxes and rates to the Nelson Mandela Municipality. They are citing a lack of political stability in the metro. In 1985, Mkhuseli "Khusta" Jack organized a consumer boycott here in the city of Port Elizabeth, which helped end apartheid.
