Lumka to lead SA Wheelchair Basketball in must-win Paralympic campaign

Madibaz director of sport Yoliswa Lumka will fulfil the role of chef de mission when the South African wheelchair basketball national teams take on their African counterparts for a spot at the 2016 Paralympic Games. Team SA will be competing in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation's African Paralympic Qualifiers in Algeria from 26 October to 9 November. The Madibaz men's and women's basketball teams will take on the universities of Fort Hare and Rhodes in the first round of the Ussa Eastern Cape league qualifiers at NMMU's Missionvale campus in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. Qualifying for the University Sport South Africa national championship was a slam dunk for the young Madibaz men's basketball team who remained unbeaten in the Eastern Province qualifiers, which finished on Sunday.
