Sydney Pettit on FacebookAs a young lady in Port Elizabeth, Sydney, learned how to sail at the Redhouse Yacht Club. After moving to Vanuatu in 2014 Sydney qualified as both an OSAF high performance and ISAF Level 4 technical coach.
Besides sailing for her own enjoyment Sydney followed Alan Straton’s example of sharing by setting up a development sailing school in Port Vila and has helped coach nearly one hundred Ni Vanuatu youth how to sail to date, two of whom will also be competing with her in the ISAF Youth Worlds.
