Stone etc. is running a FREE competition from November 25th for three weeks to teach children about semi-precious stone and have fun at the same time.
Scratch-patch Bingo is for children up to the age of 13 and the child to discover the stones in the fast time each week (in their category, nine and under and 10 – 13) will win a large bag of semi-precious stones to enjoy at home, with overall winner in each category after the three weeks, receiving a voucher worth R150 to spend at Stone etc.
“Children love the sensation of the stone in our scratch patch,” comments Stone etc. founder Mimi Rupp. “It’s a popular draw for visitors to Stone etc. and the children look in awe at the colours, shapes and textures you find in nature.”
Each child will be given a bingo card with pictures of different semi-precious stones found in the Stone etc. scratch patch. Bingo participants will be timed and must match a stone from the scratch path to those on their card.
“Children can compete against their friends and siblings, as well as the other participants, and learn about semi-precious stones at the same time,” adds Rupp
