On the occasion of the Eastern Cape’s first ever Virtual Exhibition presented by Inkanyezi we asked exhibitors their opinions on the event and on business in general with specific reference to the Lockdown.
Alan Straton from Straton Solar exhibiting in Hall 3 Stand 173 shared these thoughts with MyPE:
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event?
It has been gratifying to see the number of businesses taking part. As the event is a first for all of us teething problems are to be expected. Getting used to a new(wish) set of logic and being confined to only a Windows Environment has been a challenge. Once we sorted out the ability to ‘walk’ through the exhibition we felt a bit more confident. As it is the first couple of hours of the event – on from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily from 23 to 24 July 2020 it is too soon to tell if the event will have an immediate effect on closing deals.
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? Too soon to tell
Other than your own stand, which exhibitor here is a ‘MUST VISIT’? Hole in the Wall
Your message to the organisers, Inkanyezi?
Andrew and Deon – huge congratulations for being trail blazers and coming back from the first hiccup.
Please share successful actions you have taken for your business during Lockdown?
We ensured that we kept our online presence alive and up to date – being supportive and in front of clients and prospective clients is key.
Any suggestions on how to survive and thrive during and post Lockdown?
