A billion rand investment in The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World has attracted one of the country’s leading franchises.
Opening in mid-November will be a 400-seater Red Rock Spur restaurant strategically positioned with a view of The Boardwalk lake and the new multi-media lake spectacular, which will feature one of the highest fountains in the Southern Hemisphere.
Spur joins a number of other national franchises, including Squires Legendary Grill, News Café, Leonardo’s, Steers, Dulcé Café and Wimpy.
“We welcome Spur to our world of tastes and experiences,” says The Boardwalk general manager Clifford Ngakane.
“A special kids play area inside the Spur will ensure that The Boardwalk remains Port Elizabeth’s favourite family destination for locals and tourists alike.
“This will complement the wide selection of entertainment for the whole family, which includes the Eastern Cape’s only permanent outdoor fun-fair, adventure golf, and a games arcade with some of the latest technology and experiences,” he says.
Work has already started on the Spur, which represents an investment of around R6,5-million, according to Ngakane.
