Hi All
Animal Anti-Cruelty League PE is constantly on the move! We have all sorts of projects on the go and we have been spaying, spaying and spaying some more and have a really exciting move towards converting our garages into a dedicated sterilisation unit, which will mean that we can just about double our spay figures, with a dedicated Dr. Mirjam on spaying, spaying, spaying only! January to April saw our fantastic team pull off a wonderful 732 sterilisations! More news of this next week. For now, I am appealing to each one of you to please give us your Vote and if possible, to spare a little something for either of the projects below – and for the PE Peeps – please join us at our Music and Trivia Quiz fundraiser. See all below.

From Beverley: In the midst of all the animal abuse and neglect fieldworkers see daily, there are also those people who warm our hearts and serve as a reminder to keep doing what we do. Dwayne is an example for all dog owners living in appalling conditions. Despite owning very little and suffering from a physical disability, this young Jacksonville resident’s dog is in a fantastic condition. With great difficulty he walks Lady every day, with a home-made collar and a piece of chain, which is the best he has. Not only does he walk his dog every day, he also serves as a great example to so many healthy, lazy people in his area, by working in gardens. Lady was spayed by AACL and her excitement to be home shows what a wonderful soul her owner has. She now has a kennel, blanket and new collar and lead. Any donations towards Dwayne and Lady greatly appreciated. We are seeing him tomorrow and CE Mobility has kindly donated a wheelchair. Local donations may be dropped at our Bargain Box Shop, 9th Avenue, Walmer – clearly marked for Dwayne/Lady and monetary donations may be made to: PEACHAACL Absa Newton Park
