Southern Kings Super Rugby Match Schedule

The Southern Kings franchise are scheduled to play 16 matches in the Vodacom Super Rugby tournament which runs from 15 February 2013 until the Vodacom Super Rugby Final on 3 August 2013.

Of those 16 matches the Southern Kings will play 8 matches in Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium plus one more at a local venue still to be confirmed. The first three matches against Force, Sharks and Chiefs will be home games. The enormity of the task ahead of Southern Kings players and administrators has become readily apparent now that pen has been put to paper with the release of the match schedule.

The Southern Kings have been granted one year in Super Rugby in order to show their ability and the dice appear to be stacked against them but locals are hoping that the Eastern Cape ‘frontier spirit’ will pull them through.

5. Saturday 30 March – Hurricanes v Kings, Venue TBC @ 16:25 Local Time
6. Friday 5 April – Brumbies v Kings, Canberra Stadium, Canberra @ 19:40 Local Time
7. Saturday 13 April – Rebels v Kings, AAMI Park, Melbourne @ 19:40 Local Time
8. Saturday 20 April – Kings v Bulls, Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth @ 19:10 Local Time
