Soccer Fever

Only in South Africa do people get praised and rewarded for failing dismally. In the world cup our soccer team was nothing more than shameful. Since the world cup, their performance has been nothing more than dismal. The performance in the Africa Cup was nothing more than pathetic. This is where our tax money is going? We are supporting a team of useless failures only to see them buying property on the Cape Town Waterfront with the millions they get paid. Only in South Africa do people get rewarded on this scale for consistently screwing up…. and our government loves and praises them because they are exactly the same.

The world cup showed a financial loss of R94 billion and was considered by the government to be a resounding success??? The latest debacle is also touted as a resounding success, having added another couple of billion in losses to the total. If you think that supporting these idiots constitutes some form of patriotism, then it’s time you pulled your head out of your yang — these escapades into “patriotism” are bankrupting the country.

The team “Bafana Bafana” is an embarrassment and a gross waste of money. There are probably school teams that play a better game.
