The NMMU Jazz Vocal Studio will present a lunch hour concert called ‘Sing!’ on 30 September at 13h00 in the NMMU South Campus Auditorium.

The concert, led by jazz vocal lecturer Ulagh Williams, will be showcasing the vocal talents of various jazz vocal students across a wide range of genres.

Old school jazz standards will be performed alongside contemporary music, African pop and fusion.

Joining Williams (piano) will be various student musicians as well as guest performers including TwoTone vocalists Courtney Williams, Miranda Ncwane and Zanele Maphaphu.

‘From soulful ballads to intricate vocal play items and singalong hits, we will perform something for everyone’, says Williams. ‘The students are so diverse in their strengths and it is a pleasure to showcase the variety of styles they can perform.’
