ShopLocalPE – a platform for our times

By

ShopLocalPE is an online market running on a new virtual showcase platform called Showcase It Online.

It aims to bring Port Elizabeth producers in touch with PE residents who want to “shop local” this festive season.

Creator of the platform, Caroline Morgan, has a long history of event software development, and this latest offering is a response to the strangeness of 2020.
She says “People are nervous about attending live events and markets right now. But more than ever, they want to support local businesses. This is a way for them to shop from home, stay safe while browsing a market, and still spend their cash on local producers”.

The online market is easy to use, requiring no software installation or registration. It runs in any browser on any mobile device.

Interested exhibitors must be PE-based, and able to offer free delivery or click-and-collect.
More details are available on the website at https://shoplocalpe.showcaseit.online/

ShopLocalPE open on Wednesday 11 November and runs until 15 December 2020.
