So there I was minding my own business when Ramon Thomas let me know that Shashi Naidoo from Port Elizabeth has just been voted the FHM sexiest woman in the world and has beaten out international women to grab the title.
By the way, the many mentions of Shashi also spell her name as Sashi, but her Twitter Profile – Shashi Naidoo is, I presume, the correct spelling.
The editor of FHM South Africa, Hagen Engler, is also a son of Port Elizabeth (I just hope that there was no collusion! Only joking Shashi!).
Voting was apparently hectic with over 1.5 million votes cast for women as diverse as Cheryl Cole, Blake Lively, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, Alicia Keys, Lerato Kganyago and Angelina Jolie.
Shashi is the owner of Alushi Management, a Gauteng based Model and Talent Agency which had 7 women in the FHM 100 Sexiest women in the world list. Judging by the number of models that Shashi has on her books I can only conclude that she is not only the sexiest women in the world but also a very good business woman. Just goes to show that Port Elizabeth can produce excellent talent, such a pity that that talent can only find expression away from our city.
As Port Elizabethans we should all take a leaf out of Shashi Naidoo’s book and continue our pursuit for excellence in all that we do.
Well done Shashi, Port Elizabeth is proud of you.
