Seen at @izikomuseumssa – These labels evoked in me memories of an earlier ‘dangerous time’ when it was not fashionable to be against the government of the day. I ask myself; “What has changed?” Cape Town has the Izikho Museum and Port Elizabeth HAD the Red Location Museum – what is wrong with this picture? It must be said that the Izikho Museum is in the heart of the historical area of Cape Town and a magnet for camera touting foreign tourists. PLUS – an entrance fee of R30.00 is charged making me remark; “We only value THAT which costs us money!” #capetown #alanstraton #mype #slavery #alutacontinua – Taken by the Editor whilst wandering aimlessly about pretending to be in the know.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth.
Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."
