There is a terrible epidemic known as “Outdated Web Browsers” present throughout the whole world that is threatening to destroy the sanity of web designers. Most web designers like myself have a particular dislike of Internet Explorer, but there is one thing we hate just a little bit more these days and that is outdated web browsers.

Have a heart and band together to save Web Designers – give life back to the Web Ou!

Why? Outdated web browsers hinder productivity, force us to write additional unnecessary code to accommodate these browsers and reduce the overall creativity we like to implement.

Aside from the reasons I mentioned above, one of the top reasons you SHOULD upgrade your web browser is for security reasons. Every time a new version of a web browser is released, its primary purpose is usually to fix security holes and bugs that existed in the previous version. Continuing to use an outdated version makes you a target for attackers who know how to exploit those weaknesses in the software.

Another reason to upgrade your browser is performance. Put simply, old browsers are as slow as molasses! Upgrading from a old browser like Internet Explorer 7 or 8 to Chrome will greatly improve your online experience and the speed at which you browse.

And Finally…

For the love of that is green on this earth, please stop using Internet Explorer! I know it comes bundled with Windows, but the fact of the matter is that IE is so far behind in relation to other browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox. I will even go as far as saying it’s like the bad neighbour of browsers that breaks everything.

So please upgrade your web browser and save us.
