The image below represents to social tapestry of Nelson Mandela Bay – based on the 2011 Census results. One can see quite clearly that we are a very divided city – one that needs social cohesion and loads of work to normalise our lives.

Nelson Mandela Bay deserves better as we are the center of the struggle movement and boast many experienced struggle activists along with hosting the very spot where the defiance campaign began in 1952 on the New Brighton Railway Station.
AIM is a resident’s movement led by volunteers on their own struggle journey to make a difference and unite our citizens in prosperity and Ubuntu – People before Politics from a 100% Nelson Mandela Bay focused movement.
This year’s Local General Election will feature four significant events:
- It takes place during a pandemic
- The first LGE for President Ramaphosa
- The first LGE for the leader of the official opposition
- Independents and movements are being allowed to stand for election
