PORT ELIZABETH – SAPS Walmer station is currently under renovation and personnel and offices have relocated to the back of the premises.
While the renovations are taking place the community service centre as well as other offices have moved into 3 houses situated on the same premises but at the back of the station yard. Access to the community service centre may be gained through a side street between the Total garage and the police station.
The station’s phone lines and data lines will be disconnected as from Friday, 31 January 2020 as the cables have been removed and are being re-installed. This temporary inconvenience relating to communication is expected to last about two days only. Telephone connections are expected to be on by Saturday afternoon, 01 February 2020.
The community is urged to be patient and tolerant of this temporary incapacity and an appeal is made that should they require police assistance to kindly contact the 10111 centre. In cases of emergency the Station Commander, Col Jakob Flemmer may be contacted on 082 776 8765. Personnel will be at the office however contact via landlines would not be possible.
The SAPS thanks the community for their understanding and expect the inconvenience caused to be as short as possible.
