About Rosedale Farm Bed and Breakfast
Rosedale Farm is an eco-friendly Bed and Breakfast 12 km from the Addo Elephant National Park. We are 45 minutes from Gqeberha, in the beautiful Sundays River Valley. This is a malaria free area, where you can have exciting encounters with the ‘Big 5’.
You will be welcome in our secure and comfortable thatched cottages, surrounded by citrus groves, which we farm naturally – we have used no dangerous chemicals on the farm since 2000. We have 6 rooms, each with en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms are big enough to squeeze in an extra bed or cot for your children.
We grow and source as much food locally as what we can. Breakfasts are substantial, and include organic home baked bread, orange juice and preserves. If you need a late breakfast after an early morning game drive, that’s fine by us.
We are situated in the heart of Addo, just a couple of minutes from restaurants, pubs, ATM’s and a number of fun and educational activities that will make your stay one to remember.
We can also give you a guided tour of the farm, to show you how we farm in harmony with nature.
Safari: 11km from the Addo Elephant National Park. Close to private game reserves like Schotia.
Covid Safety Approved: We have adopted comprehensive Covid -19 sanitation protocols, to keep you safe. Our staff have all been trained, and we will do whatever is necessary to help you enjoy your stay with us, with no worries.

Addo is synonymous with the Elephant Park held within its borders. A small town located in the Sarah Baartman region of the Eastern Cape about an hours drive away from Gqeberha. Addo has many great features to it independent of the famed and gracious elephants.
The Sundays River snakes its way through the area providing water sport opportunities, with the Zuurberg Mountains that surround Addo providing hiking and horse riding trails. The bird life here is spectacular with a good variety of birds sighted.
The neighbouring Addo Elephant National Park (as part of the South African National Parks Board) is what draws thousands of visitors from all over the world. The Park boasts as South Africa’s “Big Seven” as it now includes the Southern Right Whale and great white shark since the Park extends to the sea and nearby islands.
Addo has many historical sites which date back as far as 1829.
