Roadworks on the R75 between Port Elizabeth and Despatch:

Port Elizabeth, 19 February 2018: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that roadworks is scheduled to take place on the R75 between Port Elizabeth and Despatch from today, 19 February 2018 until Friday, 23 February 2018.

The planned traffic accommodations are as follows:

The right lane between Dyke Road and Spondo Road will be closed for the week when travelling from Port Elizabeth to Despatch.

Roadworks will take place on the corner of the R75 intersecting with Spondo Road when travelling from Port Elizabeth to Despatch. All traffic accessing the R75 through Spondo are requested to use Dyke Road or St. Leonards Road.

The left lane between Johnson Road and Spondo Road will be closed for the week when travelling from Despatch to Port Elizabeth.

The left lane between Johnson Road and Chelsea Road will be closed for the week when travelling from Port Elizabeth to Despatch.

The right lane between Ralo Street and Chelsea Road will be closed on Tuesday, 20 February 2018 from 08:30 to 16:00 when travelling from Despatch to Port Elizabeth.

The right lane between Chelsea Road and Johnson Road will be closed on Wednesday, 21 February 2018 when travelling from Despatch to Port Elizabeth.

The right lane will be closed between Spondo Road and St. Leonards Road on Wednesday, 21 February 2018 when travelling from Despatch to Port Elizabeth.

“Motorists are asked to plan their trips accordingly, consider alternative routes and to use caution when making use of the road,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL Southern Region’s Manager.
