Roadworks continue at night in Port Elizabeth:
2 June, 2016 – Night roadworks will take place this week on the St Georges (Motherwell) interchange and Kempston interchange ramps, in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape this week. On each occasion the work will start at 7pm and continue through the night before the roads are re-opened again at 5am the following morning.
The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) would like to advise motorists that from Wednesday, 1 June up until Friday night (3 June) at 7pm road resurfacing will be done on the St Georges (Motherwell) interchange ramp. There will still be access to and from the intersection, thus not all ramps will be closed simultaneously.
Resurfacing of the Kempston interchange ramp will take place from Wednesday, 1 June up until Saturday (4 June) There will still be access to and from the intersection, thus not all ramps will be closed simultaneously.
There will always be an access route and exit route via the ramps of the intersection and or bridges.
“Roadworks take place at night to complete the project sooner. Motorists must be observant of all lane closures and warning signs, and exercise extreme caution when travelling through the construction work zones and plan their trips in advance,” said Mbulelo Peterson, Sanral Southern Region regional manager.
SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
