RIP Freddy Campher

The DA in the Eastern Cape is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of former Kouga Municipality Councillor, Freddy Campher.

Freddy was a teacher by occupation and in 2011 was elected as the ward councillor for Ward 4 in the Kouga Municipality – a position which he served in until 2021. He was fully committed to this calling and in 2012 was named as the best DA ward councillor in the Eastern Cape.

In 2018 he was appointed as Member of the Mayoral Committee for Infrastructure and Engineering during the mayoralty of the late Elza van Lingen.

Freddy was a DA stalwart and will be remembered for his hard work, passion and commitment to the people of the Kouga region.

He was dedicated and caring and was focused on developing the communities that he served.

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, family and friends and wish them strength in this difficult time.
