Resurfacing the R67 between Seymour and Whittlesea in the Eastern Cape

The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that resurfacing of Section 4 of the R67 road between Seymour and Whittlesea – a distance of approximately 55 km, resumed on 11 January.

The work comprises of the repair and reseal of this section of road, as well as safety improvements to the intersection at Sada, near Whittlesea. The project, which began last November (2015), is expected to last 14 months.

There will be stop and go sections during the construction period. Reduced speed limits will also be enforced.

Motorists are advised to be observant of all lane closures and warning signs, and should exercise extreme caution when travelling through the construction work zones.

Motorists are requested to plan their trips accordingly and to use caution when making use of the road.
