R10m donation for #CapeStorm & #KnysnaFire disaster relief

ABSA is working with corporate partners and authorities in further relief efforts.

In a release today ABSA said:

It is with great concern that we note the natural disasters that have occurred in the past few days. Our heartfelt condolences go to families that have lost loved ones. We also extend sympathy to residents, especially the poor and vulnerable, who have been displaced by the devastating floods and fires.

In response we are making an urgent donation of R10 million that will go towards disaster relief. We encourage our business partners and clients, as well as all of South Africa, to join us and make whatever contributions they can in this effort to provide relief to those affected.

All the funds raised will be channelled towards those who have been impacted. We are also donating our 5 600 Cape Epic tents towards providing shelter for those who have been left homeless due to the flooding and the fires.
