Pretoria’s Festive Showstopper

Table of Contents

This festive season, give the gift of a high-energy Pretoria summer experience, where cricket, culture and all-day entertainment unite. Pretoria is gearing up for its biggest midsummer celebration as Centurion transforms into a vibrant festival playground between 27 December and 22 January 2026, creating a destination where families, superfans and holidaymakers come together for unforgettable moments.

This is more than cricket. It’s a full-scale lifestyle experience built for fun-seekers, sports lovers and anyone ready to kick off the new year with colour, excitement and Pretoria flair.

Here’s everything turning Centurion into one of Tshwane’s hottest entertainment hubs this summer:

  • Local Performers – Expect bursts of local entertainers bringing the sound and spirit of the city to the concourse, delivering colour, rhythm and big Pretoria energy.
  • Dunk Tank Madness – Cool off with crowd-favourite dunk tanks, designed for laughs, splash moments and non-stop entertainment for kids and adults alike.
  • Fun-filled activities for kids – Gates open 3 hours before the start of each match. All young fans are invited onto the field for the first hour after gates open. Kids are encouraged to bring a bat and soft ball, giving them a unique chance to play, explore and be part of the action before the match begins (weather dependent). In addition to cricket, fun activities for the kids include stilt walkers, balloon artists, and face painters.
  • Festive Giveaways & Surprise Activations – From Christmas cheer and New Year’s Eve excitement to summer surprises, fans can expect merchendise drops, festive pop-ups and memory-making moments throughout the stadium.
  • Massive Prizes Up for Grabs –
    • The chance to win big for a clean one-handed catch in Betway’s Catch R2 Million competition. Suzuki will also be giving away a brand new Suzuki Swift GL+.
    • Absa cardholders will enjoy ticketing discounts as well as a chance to win up to R200 000 at every live Betway SA20 match!
    • Switch will be giving away R5K at each match, and Castle Lite is back with their spin-and-win wheel.
