Dear Editor

When the renowned Verkrampte Witmens [VW] aka White Supremacist, Steve Hofmeyr, once opined that Black South Africans have an “entitlement” problem, I thought that he was being his bigoted and ignorant self; but the application for the placement of the South African Post Office in business rescue simply justified that stereotype [The Herald 6 June 2023].
The propagated and often-than-not uppity Black captains-of-industry seem to think that South Africa and its wealth are their God-given fiefdom, judging by the endless bail-outs they demand from the already constrained fiscus; whilst the privatisation of dead-weights like the Post Office, Eskom, SAA and Prasa are long over-due.
In perspective, state owned companies of South Africa have become enrichment and protection conduits for ANC anointees, beneficiaries and/or indoctrinees circa 1994, hence we are sitting with 3P [Parastatal Parasitism & Paralysis] nowadays and the one-sided “state capture” findings’ tomfoolery; clearly Eskom being the FlagShip thereof.
The post office’s majority shareholdership could be sold to the likes of DHL, UPS, FedEx, DSV, Postnet etc. that would do far better in Glasnost (openness and accountability in governmental matters) than the still much-vaunted, yet paralysed, deliveries of parcels.
To the credit of Steve Hofmeyr and his White Supremacist Ilk like Dawie Roodt, there is no single race group in South Africa that loves this country (and its well-being) more than the Afrikaner; yet also none more jealous of Blacks’ [Nubian Africans, Coloureds, Indians, Chinese etc. according to the BEE Code of Practice] Economic Advancement.
