Port Elizabethan Takes Celebs On

You can take the boy out of Port Elizabeth but you can never take the Port Elizabeth out of the boy!

Now Cape Town resident, Clayton Morar will be appearing in the E-TV reality show, Tropika Island of Treasure from this Sunday 20 February at 18:30.

Actress and singer Pam Andrews won the game in 2009 and Shashi Naidoo in 2010 – both shared the million rand prize money with a member of the public that they had paired up with.

2011’s game is being played differently as this season sees the 14 contestants competing for the cash as individuals. The shows producers have also added an elimination factor to the game, so in every episode at least one person will be sent packing.

Clayton writes on his blog; “Being an avid reality TV fan myself, not only did I develop an even greater love for the TV genre, but it opened my eyes as to how humans can react when placed in a reality TV show, competing for R1 million. It’s one of the coolest experiences I’ve endured in my life and I can’t wait to watch the first episode.”

The 2011 season of Tropika Island of Treasure is set in the plush island setting of Phuket in Thailand, where all the contestants get to interact with locals, visit historic places and compete in zany, yet difficult challenges for the big prize of R1 meeeelion.
