The Skillz Street League takes place in Zwide, Port Elizabeth (South Africa) and is an after school initiative composed of soccer matches coupled with the facilitation of a portion of the Grassroot Soccer curriculum. The primary objective of the Street League is to provide kids with an alternative to street life and give them a safe and fun environment in which they can play soccer and learn about HIV/AIDS and life skills. Secondary objectives will include fostering fair play (with an emphasis on ownership of the game and respect), gender equality, and a broad focus on team camaraderie.
