PE’s first Pet Expo

After months of planning and organising, Port Elizabeth’s first pet expo takes place this Saturday, 5 November.

The Montego Classic PE Pet Expo is a one day consumer event for pet lovers taking place at DF Malherbe.

The programme for the day is filled with various demos and lectures throughout the day. Some of the lectures to catch is Puppy 101 – How to choose and introduce a new puppy to your home by Donne Lucas. Locally based chiropractor Neville Dugmore will talk about Chiropratics for animals.

There will be a variety of exhibitors both locally and nationally based companies. Algoa FM will keep visitors entertained with their live broadcast between 9am and 12pm.

The brains behind this unique event are two local die-hard pet owners and lovers; Bernadette Meistre and Liza Vermaak.

Their target of the expo was to bring together like-minded people and their furry, feathery and/or scaly friends. Whether it’s a dog, cat, fish, bird or reptile, the expo will provide an opportunity to shop for products for your pet.

Bring the whole family for a fun filled day, there’s something for everyone. From a jumping castle for the kiddies to a snake demo for the brave or curious to test your skills at driving a donkey cart. For the full programme go to the website, www.pepetexpo.co.za

Tickets are on sale from 9am at the gates at R20 for Adults, R10 for Scholars and Pensioners and kids under 12 are FREE.

You may bring your pet if it is well behaved and on a leash the entire visit.
