On Saturday 14 September, thousands of enthusiastic supporters lined Shark Rock Pier on the Port Elizabeth beachfront to cheer 400 mountain bikers as they set off on the inaugural Investec PE to Plett.
The route meandered through 368 km of South Africa’s pristine natural beauty including the Stuckem Forest, Van Staden’ Pass, Jeffrey’s Bay, St Francis Bay, Tsitsikamma, Nature’s Valley and ended on Central Beach in picturesque Plettenberg Bay four days later.
