Our Political Landscape in a Nutshell

26 April 2021 By Alan Straton

A short while ago we had a number of principled men stand up and change the political landscape – locally firebrands like Mkhuseli ‘Khusta’ Jack and Mike Xego had the courage to stand up and be counted whilst they fought against an unjust system.

All of our departed struggle heroes must now be turning in their graves as they witness the Circle of Chaos and mind numbing greed that possesses our current political masters and wanna be masters.

Thankfully Khusta and Mike are still with us and are AIMing 100% only at Nelson Mandela Bay in a valiant movement – the Abantu Inetgrity Movement that promises to turn that Circle of Chaos into a Circle of Competence.

Lets look at the Top Three National Political Parties:

  1. One has let the populace down badly with broken promises and immense ‘no consequence’ corruption scandals
  2. One will be forever tainted with the legacy of apartheid
  3. One is a radical right wing organisation with dubious credentials.

Make no mistake they all also do have good points. Unfortunately for them all they suffer from delusions of grandeur, limited success in some areas and no real proven success amongst the real citizens of Nelson Mandela Bay.

We need a paradigm shift in politics, we need to elect a ‘non-political’ political party to carry out our wishes. We need leaders who genuinely engage and don’t rely on some think tank or what their advisers tell them. We need leaders who are accessible and approachable and who will put our City first ABOVE National Party Political dictates.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
