Okay Kirkwood Wildsfees are you ready for MyPE? We are settled in our camp site for the weekend at Nieshoutkloof – thanks to Suki Ferreira (0713666949) – and keen to see Locnville at 11:00pm tonight, along with all the other 20 year olds. Met one of my son, Philip’s, rowing protégés on the way in – what a wonderful world. #wildsfees2018 #kirkwood #nieshoutkloof #rowing #alanstraton #mype #festival #locnville #afrikaans – Taken by the Editor whilst wandering aimlessly about pretending to be in the know.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth.
Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."
