New DA Councillor Michael Jarvis to focus on jobs

The DA in Nelson Mandela Bay has announced the election of Michael Jarvis to fill the vacancy left by Leon De Villiers.

Mr. Jarvis has a passion for the economics of employment and believes that Nelson Mandela Bay can become a Metro that creates jobs. He is a business consultant and lecturer with skills in Human Resources Management, Labour and Industrial Relations. Jarvis has an Honours degree in Industrial Psychology and a diploma in Labour Law with a special focus on conflict management. He has his roots in Port Elizabeth and is a former head boy of Grey High School.

Jarvis has taken a decision to become an active participant in our country’s future. He recognizes that politics is a vehicle for change in our communities and believes that the DA is the only party that can bring positive change to Nelson Mandela Bay, change that will cut corruption and create jobs.

The DA is confident that Mr. Jarvis’ experience and skill set will add value to our efforts in council and help us to build a winning team for the 2016 elections.
