Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to host inaugural 5-a-side soccer tournament

The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in conjunction with SAFA will host about 30 teams at its inaugural 5-a-side-soccer tournament on Saturday, 14 September 2019 and Sunday, 15 September 2019 in Port Elizabeth.

The tournament forms part of a range of initiatives being undertaken by the Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) Stadium to celebrate its 10th year anniversary.

The tournament fixtures include the u10 boys’ and girls’ divisions to u19 men and women’s divisions, as well as an open men’s fixture. Local schools and social soccer clubs from various parts of Nelson Mandela Bay will battle it out on the day, with the first matches set to start at 9am. A prize giving ceremony will take place on Sunday, 15 September.

There will be food and beverages sold at the tournament.

Entrance for the public is free.

The tournament takes place on Saturday, 14 September 2019 and Sunday, 15 September 2019 starting at 9:00 am each day at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth.
