National Wool week kicks off in Port Elizabeth today focussing on agriculture, retail, fashion and design in order for the public to have a better understanding of the wool industry. Since 2000 the rand value of merino wool has increased over 600 per cent. The wool industry in South Africa is at the start of a positive growth stage with the stepping up of wool production. We cross to our reporter Janine Lee who is attending wool week.
